Sponge cartridges for AQUAEL filters made of carefully selected phenol-free sponge. They ensure efficient mechanical filtration of water, keeping impurities and suspensions visible to the naked eye.
At the same time, they are a substrate for nitrifying bacteria, thanks to which they also perform biological filtration. To ensure optimal performance of the inserts, it is recommended to replace them regularly and keep them only in "old" water taken during aquarium changes.
